2024 celebrates Eastern Fish’s 50-year legacy as a leader in the seafood industry. Since our inception in 1974, we’ve stood strong on values of integrity, trust, and environmental responsibility. Today, we’re one of the world’s largest importers and marketers of premium-quality shrimp.
Our success is rooted in a commitment to delivering top-tier seafood at competitive prices while fostering enduring relationships with customers and suppliers. We prioritize environmentally and socially responsible sourcing practices, making sustainability a core principle of our operations.
From the very beginning, we’ve treated every interaction with dignity, respect, and unmatched service. Strong relationships, unwavering quality standards, and dedication to environmental sustainability are the cornerstones of our daily endeavors.
Our journey began as a fish and crab trading company in 1974 and transformed into a global seafood powerhouse. In 1982, we redirected our focus towards farm-raised shrimp, setting the stage for our current status as one of the world’s largest importers and marketers of seafood. In 2014, a partnership with Marubeni Corporation further amplified Eastern Fish’s global programs, expanding our network to cover Japan, Europe, and the U.S.
As we’ve grown, so have our various product offerings.
SAIL: SAIL Premium Quality Seafood originated from more than 14 locations around the globe, where they’re grown and processed under strict controls to ensure the freshest quality. This brand is known for its consistency, full weights, and proper counts. SAIL offers a diverse range of premium seafood products, including shrimp, scallops, crab, lobster, tilapia, and squid.
JustFish: JustFish specializes in high-quality, all-natural seafood products sustainably sourced from favorable regions.
Golden Harvest: Golden Harvest takes culinary trends from sea to table, offering a range of frozen, ready-made seafood and a delectable Dim Sum lineup, which includes Shrimp dumplings, spring rolls, shrimp Gyoza, and more. Other handcrafted products from this line, such as breaded fish fillets and Grill Seasoned Salmon Burgers, provide unforgettable culinary experiences.
ENCORE Seafood: ENCORE products, available in select retail stores, include Atlantic Salmon Pacifica, Atlantic Salmon Pinwheel Florentine, Sockeye Salmon Burgers in bacon & cheddar or florentine flavors, Sockeye Salmon Burgers in teriyaki flavor, Grill Seasoned Salmon Burgers, Grill Seasoned Shrimp Burgers, and Stuffed Cod with Broccoli & Cheddar Cheese.
The seafood landscape has seen significant shifts during our 50-year tenure. However, Eastern Fish has faced all trials and tribulations head-on. Our strategic shifts in the face of adversity have led us to excel in several areas, including our breaded seafood category for food service, Asian appetizers, and meal solutions. The launch of our Golden Harvest dim sum line and an oven-ready selection in 2022 and 2023 marked significant milestones in our commitment to delivering restaurant-quality products.
Quality remains our top priority. We collaborate closely with a U.S.-based manufacturer to ensure top-tier goods are accessible to our customers. We adhere to stringent quality control protocols, meticulously inspect every shipment, and collaborate with industry bodies like the Better Seafood Bureau and the FDA to uphold high standards.
As proactive environmental stewards, we’re committed to sustainability. We’re excited to continue working towards our goal of sourcing 100% responsible seafood by 2025. For us, responsible seafood means products certified by reputable organizations, sourced from Fishery Improvement Projects (FIPs) or Aquaculture Improvement Projects (AIPs), or rated green or yellow by the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch Program.
